Description: This print is from the "Famous Places in the Eastern Capital" (Tôto meisho) series by Hiroshige. The original print was made in the 1830s, although this particular print is a post-war reproduction by Yuyudo.

The entrance to Shin-Yoshihara, a brothel in Edo, is depicted obliquely from the outside, and cherry blossoms can be seen in the spring sky where the sun has not yet dawned. The guest returning in the morning and the courtesan seeing him off convey the quiet loneliness of the morning against the bustle of the night.

Note: the size of this print is slightly smaller than the original. Please refer to the displayed measurements for accuracy.

There are a few slight foxing spots in the upper area of this print.
