Designer: Kaburagi Kiyokata Era: Late Showa | Currency: $ / £ / € Price: ¥ 30,000$ 235.00£ 180.00€ 215.00   Description: This print is from a collection of woodblock prints of beautiful women from the Meiji period by a number of leading designers of the day, including Tsukioka Yoshitoshi, Ogata Gekko, and Kaburagi Kiyokata. The collection "Meiji no Onna" (Women of Meiji) was published in 1977 by Soudosha, and most of the designs were being reproduced for the first time. The original version of this print was a kuchi-e magazine frontispiece. The bokashi shading on her hair is unusual, and wonderfully executed. There are slight creases at the right part.
