Description: 36 Views of Mt. Fuji is an extremely well-known series. What started as 36 works later grew to include a total of 46 images, containing some of the most recognizable works Hokusai ever designed. It was published c. 1830–1832.

Both the sky and the sea are calm in this marine landscape. This nice weather offers the two sailing boats in the foreground, the perfect conditions for going out and exploring the sea in a serene rhythm. Their white sails are flowing in the favorable wind. Mount Fuji is visible in the far distance with its snow-capped peak. The horizon is drawn with a slight curve, and even though it seems to appear to be quite an ordinary picture, there is a feeling of tranquility and peace.

This particular print is a post-war reproduction by Takamizawa company.

There are some slight wrinkles at the top margin of this print.
